Steering Committee

Creative Lives is a registered charity that was established in 1991. We champion community and volunteer-led creative activity, and work to improve opportunities for everyone to be creative. In particular, we celebrate and promote people expressing themselves creatively with others, recognising the benefits this can bring.

We know that creative expression in all its forms is a fundamental part of being human, but that individuals and communities need opportunities and support for creativity to flourish. We also know that people coming together to create, have fun, share experiences and support each other can have a positive impact on both their physical and emotional wellbeing.

To that end, Creative Lives works with communities, organisations, policy-makers, funders, communities and creative individuals as a voice for positive change, to improve and expand the landscape in which creative participation can take place. We work to address inequalities in access to creative participation, promote inclusivity, connect people and communities, and seek to increase awareness of the links between creativity and wellbeing.

We have teams based across the UK and Ireland, and are funded by Arts Council England, the Arts Council of Ireland, Creative Scotland and the Arts Council of Wales.

Offaly Arts Office is a service of Offaly County Council and aims to be a facilitator and catalyst for the development of a vibrant arts environment in the county.

Creative Edenderry is a grassroots community project that aims to grow and promote creative activity in Edenderry, Co Offaly. Our logo shows the oak tree and the colour red for Edenderry, brown for the bog, and the hand for creativity.

North Offaly Community Development Network based in Daingean is an approved community services programme registered with Pobal providing dedicated services to 65+ age throughout the Edenderry Municipal District area. Services include meals on wheels delivering a hot two course nutritious meal five days per week or as frequent as desired to clients in their own homes, home and garden maintenance undertaking essential in-home repairs and garden maintenance, installation of personal alarms, smoke and carbon monoxide alarms and friendly phone call service, as well as providing walk-in secretarial support services at our office.

The Edenderry Community Cabin is situated in the heart of Edenderry and has been supporting local residents and community groups for the past 10 years. The Community Cabin aims to be a safe, welcoming and inclusive space for educational, recreational and social supports for all the community.
