“Street Signs” Music Exchange: Edenderry to Italy!

From the 19th to the 29th of October, five young musicians from Edenderry will travel to Capranica, Italy, alongside the Creative Places Edenderry Co-ordinator for the “Street Signs” Youth Music Exchange.

Supported by the Erasmus+ programme, this international youth exchange will bring young people together through music and creativity. The group will have the opportunity to share their musical experiences, learn from one another and connect with young creatives from Italy, Spain, Portugal, Romania and Sweden.

During their time in Italy, participants will explore new approaches to making music, including the work of Orchestra Improvvisata, and discover how improvisation and collaboration can bring people together across different musical backgrounds and languages.

Alongside learning from their international peers, the young musicians will bring their own experiences, musical interests, and perspectives from Edenderry, sharing aspects of the town’s creative life and the role music plays in their community. The exchange is an opportunity to represent Edenderry on an international stage while discovering new ideas and building connections that can continue long after the trip.

Best of Luck to Adam, Dylan, Ross, Luke and Caroline on their trip! You can follow what they get up to on Instagram and Facebook.
